Transform your Vampires in Game 4

Edit: As of 2016, a Vampire in Pit People is now referred to as “Vampiress”

Game 4 (our code name for our next title) is making its way to PAX East for the first time ever, so you’ll get a chance to play our demo at Booth 5020! One of the battiest units you could encounter in the game is our Vampire.

As you saw in our last Game 4 development post, we have customizable options for several unit types in the game. Vampire is another creature you can refashion into your favorite accessories!

Just like any other accessory in Game 4, these Vampire specific items could pop up for purchase in the Market (if you already have a Vampire in your team), they could be potentially acquired through loot & rewards, or you could always Recruit a Vampire in battle if they have the desired gear on their being. Mix and match torso and head gear as you wish!

Come back next week to learn more about our Game 4 demo at PAX East 2015 and how you could recruit other species (like Vampires, Mushrooms, Wraiths, Trolls, Cupcakes, etc..) on to your own team of heroes!

TL;DR
-Game 4 demo coming to PAX East 2015
-Vampires can fly further away toward enemy units
-Vampires get a bonus off bleeding enemy units
-Vampires have customizable gear!

Cupcake Couture in Game 4

Codenamed “Game 4,” our in-development game has some new additions since you last saw it on our Raptr Extra Life Charity Stream or since you first saw it at PAX Prime in our first live stream demo of Game 4.

We’ve shown you the House with the collection of hairstyles, helmets, and heavy weaponry available for your human heroes. Now we’ve put out a new line of accessories in Game 4!

Today, we’ll just give you a taste of what’s to come by showing off one of our units: Cupcakes. If looks could kill, these Cupcakes would be the deadliest unit on the field!

Speaking of Recruiting, we’ve alluded to this ability in the game but we haven’t had a chance to show it to you yet. Don’t you worry, my darlings; you’ll be able to see the simplicity of Recruiting in action when we bring Game 4 to PAX East this March!Until then, come back to the blog soon because we’ll be revealing another creatures’ collection of customizable. From Japan to Boston to everywhere in between, we traveled quite a bit this past year and had several game highlights along the way–including BattleBlock Theater launch on Steam and unveiling our next game at Pax Prime!

BattleBlock Theater (STEAM VERSION) came out for PC and Linux in May this year. Since then, we’ve been rolling out special unlocks at least once a week and we’re close to releasing the final prisoners! We will be giving out the final prisoner on Steam sometime early 2015 and then we start doing re-releases like we’ve been doing on XBLA.

This was our first live stream of Game 4 (PAX East @ Twitch Stage)

Our 4th game title (Affectionately named Game 4) had its first playable demo at PAX Prime, and we did several live streams to show off the gameplay as well. Check out the temporary site here: http://www.thebehemoth.com/game4

Let us know what you’d like to see more of from Game 4 and we’ll do our best to share more in 2015!

It’s difficult to cover all of what we did in the past year in a single blog post, so we decided to do a sentimental year in review video of our biggest moments:

There are several videos linked within this recap that you can check out if you’re curious about any of the events we listed. A couple awesome Behemoth-related events not shown in the video include the fun fan driven contests we had for Valentine’s Day and Halloween, our partnership with GestureWorks Gameplay, our latest Gold Egg Project recipient (Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime), our partnership with HP Sprout, and the inclusion of Alien Hominid and Castle Crashers in the Game Masters exhibition in the National Museum of Scotland (which is still up until April 20, 2015 so go check it out here).

Thank you to everyone for their support this year and we hope you enjoy a look back at all the events.
