Is it “coop” or is it “co-op”? Those are basically our two favorite things here at The Behemoth, so how does a little bit of both sound?
In celebration of PAX West, we’re having a behemoth Steam sale. Does that mean we’re The Behemoth, or that the sale is a behemoth? Both! Seeing a trend here?
You can’t beat the coop co-op classics: get yourself or a friend a copy of Castle Crashersor BattleBlock Theater(or both) for 60% off! Work together, or sabotage each other; we won’t tell you how to treat your friends.
Or, set off on The Behemoth’s most recent adventure with Pit People, which will be on sale for 40% off! We promise there will be space bears, blueberries, and tiny iced creams.
If you’re missing a game in your Behemoth collection, be sure to head over to Steam to grab a copy before the sale comes to an end on September 5th. Enjoy!
We just recently passed the 11th anniversary of Castle Crashers, which is no small day. We’ll be celebrating 11 years of Castle Crashers and the upcoming launch to Nintendo Switch and PS4 with the game’s music, and you’re invited to party with us!
Every week starting August 27, 2019 and running all the way through October 8, 2019, a musician will be covering one or more of the songs off the Castle Crashers soundtrack. You’ll be able to catch these covers on YouTube, or watch them streamed live on Twitch.
We’ll be updating this blog with the new dates and times each week, so be sure to check back. For now, we’ll kick off the celebrations with the schedule for the first two musicians:
The8BitDrummer is a drummer (big surprise there) who streams live covers to an exuberant audience on Twitch! We might be biased, but we’re particularly impressed with his cover of BattleBlock Theater’s Secret Stage music because he somehow managed to sing the entire thing.
He’ll be starting off the celebration strong and playing through the ENTIRE Castle Crashers soundtrack, so you won’t want to miss out on this madman’s performance!
FamilyJules is a rad guitarist that is best known for his video game music covers — in fact, he’s done well over 100! Of course, a part of that number is made up by Castle Crashers covers. If you’re feeling a craving for rock and bones, we recommend checking out his original Necromancer Theme cover.
He’ll be premiering an all-new Castle Crashers cover that will have you smashing that replay button!
Ubaldo is another incredible guitarist who both composes and arranges cover music from pop culture, other musicians, and of course, video games – all with his own killer flair.
On September 9th, he’ll be sharing his own take on a unique Castle Crashers cover with the world, and we can’t wait to listen!
Lara6683 is a musician from Australia who is best known for her talents on the piano and violin. She’s big on old-school video game music nostalgia, so celebrating 11 years of Castle Crashers seemed like the perfect fit!
Catch her live on Twitch on September 19th — she’ll be learning some of the songs from Castle Crashers, and playing them live!
Wondering what that private video on the playlist is? MaximumGuitar will be premiering another special cover from Castle Crashers on September 24th at 2:00 PM PT for your listening pleasure!
The Game Brass puts a unique spin on video game music as a talented brass quintet! The quintet includes two trumpets, a trombone, a french horn, and a tuba. They have a fantastic rendition of a Castle Crashers classic lined up, lovingly titled “Four Brave Champions (and a Tuba).” We’ll let you figure out the rest from there.
And since tomorrow marks the start of October, be sure to keep an eye out for their extra spooky Halloween album Brasselvaniawhich also drops on October 1st!
You know them both by now — The8BitDrummer and FamilyJules have already performed separately, but now they’re coming together for a killer collaboration! With all that talent, this is definitely one you won’t want to miss.
Max is back with the talented Hyenaedon and one more Castle Crashers cover to round out our playlist! Even though it’s still Castle Crashers music, this song has a different tone for you to enjoy. This is Max’s second cover of the song, and it’s incredible to see how much he’s improved over the years. Check it out!
We hope all of the musical artists delighted your eardrums and tugged on your heartstrings by tugging on their instrument strings. All of the shows we had for this year have been completed, but you can revisit the sounds by tuning into our complete YouTube playlist!
