And so as it was foretold, XBLA Castle Crashers will be about the price of hamburger for 10 days this month of December.

It’s going to be 50% off!  Pretty close to FREE if you round up the percentage.. I suppose.

I was in this serious funk.  And so I was thinking;  So what if we’ve made the #1 rated XBLA game of all time?  XBLA Game of the Year XBLA Shmame of the Shmear, nothing is worth 15 dollars.  Maybe our efforts are REALLY only worth somewhere around 7 dollars.  Honestly, maybe even less.

For those of you who were specifically holding out for this moment of us devaluing our self worth: you’ve got more than a week to act on our brief crisis of confidence — but, everyone’s been saying really nice things about us lately so I’m guessing we’ll only be sad from December 21st to the 31st.   After that I bet we’ll be proud of what we’ve made once again. In the meantime, if you’ve been Castle Crashersless because you only have those 600 MS points that you found in your couch cushions, its a good time to finally check out this thing that we made.

Castle Crashers Princess GPS Voice

Kudos to those who unraveled the riddle.  Not quite a mystery wrapped in a riddle inside an enigma.  But more a voice, wrapped in a blog, and dipped in science.  The Red Princess can now guide you on your real life adventures!

The use of the Princeses GPS voice requires a TomTom (GPS not Fulp) device.  If you have one, then simply install the TomTom Home software and click on “voices” to download and save (in more ways than one) the Red Princess. It is FREE!

Big thanks to Kira Buckland for once again lending her voice acting skills.  You may know her from such past works as Green Princess, Red Princess, Blue Princess and Medusa…

a date, a confession, and toys

A Date

On November 25th, while Americans are passed out in tryptophan comas,  Castle Crashers will arrive on  the PlayStation Network in JAPAN, thus completing our world domination of PS3s!  Its been a long road, but Castle Crashers is now available on both XBLA and PSN WORLDWIDE.  On this day, over 2.2 Million players have experienced the adventure of kissing princesses and beating eachother up!!!   *weeps with joy*

A Confession

I have a confession to make.  Long story short, BattleBlock Theater is becoming so much more than we ever expected.  It feels like no other game out there – there’s a little more r&d than we thought and lots of new ground to break.  This means we will not be releasing in 2010, but the good news is now that we’ve got Castle Crashers out on PSN worldwide, you can expect LOTS more updates on where we are headed with BBT.

A ton of work has gone into this game which feels like no other game!  We’re currently forcing someone to start getting some videos/pictures prepped so we can pass the time quickly together.
