The Behemoth’s 14th Anniversary on September 19th

It feels like it was just yesterday when we celebrated our 10-year-anniversary — But it wasn’t! On September 19, 2017, it’ll be fourteen years since we formed the studio and became an “official” company.

From our 10th anniversary celebration at PAX Prime

To celebrate our teenage years as a company, we’ll be doing a live stream of our first game, Alien Hominid. We’ll be playing the HD version on Xbox One (via backward compatibility).

Live Streaming September 19th – 2:00PM to 3:00PM PST

What: Alien Hominid HD (on Xbox One via backward compatibility)

When: Tuesday, September 19 | Starting 2PM PST / 5PM EST

Where: We’ll be hosting the live stream on the Behemoth’s Twitch channel, Mixer channel and Facebook Live simultaneously!

Who: Our team will play the game, and you can supply the questions in chat

Why: Fathered by Tom Fulp and Dan Paladin, Alien Hominid on Newgrounds was the Flash game that brought The Behemoth together. It seems like a perfect way to celebrate our anniversary!

Giveaways on our Social Networks

We’ll also be giving out keychains on three of our major social channels, so be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for more chances to win your choice of a Behemoth Chicken keychain or Alien Hominid keychain!

Looking forward to celebrating with y’all. Thanks for all of your support these past 14 years!

PAX West 2017 – Day 3 & 4 Recap

The last two days of the Expo flew by so quickly since the booth was packed on both days!

( See all our PAX West 2017 Photos on Flickr )

We continued to have a line at our Gift Shop and for the Pit People PVP Challenge. We held the PVP Challenge on Day 3 and added it to Day 4 since it was so popular!

Several players made it past Round 3 and a couple came back on Monday, Day 4, to battle other Round 3 winners! Here are some of the winners from Day 3 and Day 4:

There were 4 players who returned to battle Best of 3 fights to get the grand cash prize! Coincidentally, both grand prize matches were friend versus friend.

The fight against Brandon and George was especially fun to watch since those two usually co-op and they know each other’s strategies!

Winner: Danny (pictured on left)
Runner-up: Sam (pictured on right)

Draw! We ran out of time since doors closed and they had both won a fight. So they both won and split the cash prize!

We had such a blast this year! On Day 4, some of our team members (Ian, John and myself) picked up the microphones to do the Round 3 and Grand Prize match commentary.

Since we’re not professionals, you can imagine the randomness that came up in conversation. We talked about fart blasts, Ian’s distaste of Gorgon snakes, and John kept heckling Chris Hecker at the Spy Party booth!

Color Commentary

Thank you again to everyone who came by our booth this year at PAX West 2017! We always love seeing your faces and seeing people play our games. See you again next year!
