BattleBlock Theater Special Unlocks

We have a couple hidden gems that come with BattleBlock Theater for our loyal fans out there. We first brought the alien over from Alien Hominid HD to Castle Crashers XBLA when the game first launched and now we’re doing another cross over!

Anyone who has the full version of Castle Crashers will be getting a special unlock of a Castle Crashers knight in the full version of BattleBlock Theater. You can bring your Castle Crasher buddy onto the mysterious island run by technologically driven cats.

 

BlogPost2013AHAlso, for the super duper fans who have Alien Hominid HD (our first game!), you’ll be able to unlock the alien in the full version of BattleBlock Theater.

Last, but not least, we have the Can’t Stop Crying Pack which will unlock in the full version of Castle Crashers XBLA when you earn at least one achievement in BattleBlock Theater. In order to unlock the Can’t Stop Crying Pack to get Hatty as a playable character, you must have the must updated XBLA version of Castle Crashers and BattleBlock Theater  and Castle Crashers must be installed on the same Xbox system.

Alien Hominid HD – June Leaderboard Winners

The contest is now closed! We had three awesome weekly leaderboard scores for the main Alien Hominid HD game on medium difficulty. Mini-game players also had a chance to show off their skills and work hard at the monthly leaderboard scores for PDA Games (Ranked match) and Super Soviet Missile Mastar. Too late to enter now, but if you’re curious what sorts of hoops they had to jump through and who qualified to enter, you can check out the contest rules here.

All five winners will be getting their very own Alien Hominid HD leaderboard trophy! Here’s an idea of what it will look like minus the personalized engraved base underneath:

For one week only, you can download Alien Hominid HD for only 400 MS Points and see the world from the eyes of a 2D yellow alien. Fight off all the secret agents, fly UFOs, chomp down on enemies’ heads or play one of the numerous mini-games such as PDA games or Super Soviet Missile Mastar.

High scores for Alien Hominid HD are verified on Saturdays between 9:00am to 12:00pm PST, or whenever we remember to check the high scores for the weekend, and mini-game scores will be verified on Saturday, June 30th, between 9:00am to 10:00am PST.

Those who already have the game can start today! The first prize will be awarded this Saturday, June 16th to the highest score on Alien Hominid HD (Medium difficulty). If you don’t have it yet, download Alien Hominid HD on XBLA and start racking up those points. 

UPDATE: We have changed the score verification day to Saturday. Scores are reset on Sundays GMT, so to ensure that we get the most valid information, we will be checking weekly leaderboards on Saturdays between 9AM-noon PST. Sorry for the confusion!
