There’s so much to do!

 

There’s just five more days until San Diego Comic Con 2014! We’ve been hard at work in the warehouse and preparing for the Con by making figurine boxes packed with Castle Crashers knights. Next on our list will be checking all the inventory we’re bringing, packing it out, and moving it over to the Convention Center the night before Preview Night. To see it all set up, come to our Booth next week at Comic Con (Booth 229)!

Ball Game Tournament Winners

What an amazing tournament that was! The matches were hot and intense. Congrats to Shoomway for taking 1st place! Shoomway will be getting some sweet merchandise as well as the grand prize that was revealed today. If you didn’t hear about it yet, the grand prize winner gets to be immortalized in our next game (Game 4?)–in some way we can’t tell you how yet since Game 4 details have yet to be revealed!
 
Falling close behind we had SnipeTheWolf in 2nd place and TheMcFargy in 3rd place. Here’s a look at how it all played out using our brackets as visuals:

BBT Arena Playlist Creation Contest!

Can’t believe the crushing excitement and playable insanity of our upcoming Ball Game Steam tournament? Us either!
 
But don’t worry, you sensitive creative types — we haven’t forgotten you. Starting today, we’re accepting submissions for our BattleBlock Theater Arena Mode Playlist Creation Contest!
 

Anyone 13 or older can submit their original XBLA or Steam Arena Mode playlists for consideration. We’re accepting playlist submissions from July 15th to August 15th.
 
The very best playlists for each platform (as decided by our panel of judges) will be awarded grand prizes or honorable mentions.
 
The grand prize will be some awesome BattleBlock Theater merchandise signed by our Level Designers, as well as immediate and exciting recognition as an Arena Mode Feature in-game. Honorable mentions will also receive incredible BattleBlock Theater merchandise, and consideration for future Features.
 
There will be one grand prize per platform (so that’s two total — one for XBLA and one for Steam), as well as two additional honorable mentions per platform.
