We just keep staring at the clock waiting for it to reach 12AM. Even though the game won’t be out until 1AM, or 2AM, or some other time. In the past week I’ve heard about 300 different time slots from just about everyone so I don’t even know anymore.

As exciting as the launch is for us we don’t have time to sit and relax as we are all on a plane on Wednesday to the Penny-Arcade Expo. It’s actually really great timing for us as we get to be around all of our fans for the first few days of the title being launched.

One of the many surprises we will have at PAX will be our exclusive limited edition Barbarian Figure! (below) Not only will we be selling it at the show, but by Friday we will also have them available on our Behemoth Store, YES!

Check out his awesome battle flag of justice (I’m starting to sound like Dan now) and deadly weaponry.

Hominid unlockable and things

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!  Here you can see the Alien Hominid unlockable character in Castle Crashers, (which automatically unlocks if you own Alien Hominid HD on your 360 when playing Castle Crashers).   I will try to be sure we have gameplay video of him next time.

To the alien’s right is an angry bee which saw his debut at Comic-Con this year at our booth.  He’s so angry.  You know, usually when someone is angry they are really just unhappy with an aspect of their life and the best way to handle them is ask them what is wrong or find a way to make them happy.  Instead of yelling back, you can help someone achieve peace and you will both feel better about everything.  Make a chain reaction TODAY!!  hahaha okay anyway:

There’s an image I made per Emil’s request.  He says that if I make that image, people will want to use it and show it places.  Is he right?  Do you enjoy such an image?  I hope he is right. 

Okay, and lastly, we have a video from Comic-Con I took that shows a little bit of everything at the booth.  You can see the giant 9 foot flags, the people, the game, and the barbarian figurine.

The game is only 1 month away!!!!  Can you believe it?  It’s finally here!!!  Whew.   We’ll see you guys at PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) on the 29th, just TWO days after the game is launched!  Stop on by and let us know what you think.  We shall try to have exclusive T-shirts at PAX as well as our limited barbarian figurine for sale.

Castle Crashers Release Date…..No, seriously.

August 27th, 2008 is our release date. I’m sure you will read it everywhere else before you read it here, but hey that’s just the way these things happen sometimes. We are excited, and relieved to finally be able to say,  Castle Crashers releases on August 27th!

As we get closer to the release date, which is conveniently 2 days before we attend the Penny Arcade Expo we want to make sure your first day of playing Castle Crashers is going to be freakishly enjoyable. With that said we are excited to announce that one of the unlockable characters in Castle Crashers is our little yellow friend Alien Hominid. The best part about this is that if you have purchased the full version of Alien Hominid HD you will have automatically received this unlock on your Castle Crashers character select screen the day you purchase the game.  (August 27th, 2008) We wanted to make sure to include this for all of our fans out there who supported us with the purchase of Alien Hominid HD. If it wasn’t for your support we might not be here today.

More to come later as soon as we unpack from Comic-Con and get our office back in some working order. Microsoft is also having an awesome “Summer of Arcade” promotion where every time you download Castle Crashers you receive one entry for a chance to win 100,000 Microsoft Points, 12 month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription, and an Xbox 360 Elite console.
