EGX London 2019 Recap

We had a great time at EGX London this past weekend!

The very first morning of the show, we found these in the queue line. It seems likely that some developer dropped these, and lost the keys to their stuff. Rule #57382829 of trade shows: Split up the keys, because if you lose them…

This show was new to us, and we found that it was a weird mix of many shows… much like RTX, you could get tattoos, 3 lbs of fudge, and mystery boxes. Like Tokyo Game Show, San Diego Comic-Con, and PAX East, the main event took place a long linear hall that made for good exercise. Like PAX West, you had some evening programming and board games options, but things would mostly wind down after-hours.

The show venue was about 2x that of Comic-Con, so just imagine two long sausage shaped halls next to each other connected by a food mall. They also set up a county fair type area in the adjacent hall with rides and bouncy houses, so there were a lot of kids having a lot of fun.

We had a great time bringing our games to EGX London, and you can see our photos from the event here. It will be interesting to see how next week goes at MCM Comic-Con London… it should be a smaller show, but we’re just as excited for it!

The Behemoth Goes Global! ✈️ (Or to Europe, at Least)

If you know us, you know that we’ve been hitting it hard in the tradeshow department this year — we’ve been zigging and zagging all over the United States to here and there and back again, and there’s more coming! We’re not slowing down… If you’ve been watching all the fun from afar somewhere on the other side of the globe, now’s your chance to be a part of it all!

Between October and early November we have THREE European shows that we’ll be attending in London, London again, and Berlin (and in that specific order, too).

The Behemoth will be making appearances at:

  • EGX London from October 17th to October 20th
  • MCM Comic-Con London from October 25th to October 27th
  • EGX Berlin from November 1st to November 5th

You can catch us at each of those shows with playable games including Pit People and Castle Crashers Remastered, as well as a handful of extra special giveaways for our superfans! Our booths won’t be giant, but our hearts will be.

It’s been a while since we’ve traveled so far from home, and we’re excited to finally have a chance to hang out with all of our friends and fans on the other side of the globe! Our first stop at EGX London is taking place just next week, so we’ll be seeing you very, very soon, Europe. 💙

PAX West 2019 Recap

When PAX rolls around, we hit BIG. This year was no different, especially considering we kicked off the weekend with the Castle Crashers Remastered Nintendo Switch release date (which is September 17th, by the way)! That energy carried us through the show to a wacky, wild, and fun-filled weekend.

Revisit the arcade-y excitement, heated competitions, and space bear shenanigans that happened at PAX West 2019 with our recap video!

Even though we’re pretty sure that video was everything you ever could have dreamed of (and more), you can check out the full photo album that we spent ages virtually scrapbooking right here. Bonus points for anyone who wants to try to play “Where’s Waldo?” and search for themselves in our photos.

Dream work makes the team work, or something like that.

Anyway, we’ll be doing this all again on the opposite coast next year at PAX East, which… will be much, much colder than this was. But just like you did at PAX West, you will warm our hearts and keep us going through sun, rain, sleet, or snow.

Just don’t bring the PAX pox with you next time, please.
