GestureWorks Gameplay: A new way to play Castle Crashers

Play Castle Crashers on
Play Castle Crashers on Intel’s new Bay Trail tablet using GestureWorks Gameplay

If you have ever wondered what Castle Crashers would feel like on a tablet, then you should definitely check out this great application called GestureWorks Gameplay. Gameplay software for Windows 8 lets gamers use, build, customize, and share Virtual Controllers for touch, which are overlaid on top of existing PC games, such as Castle Crashers Steam Edition.

Here’s a look at the upcoming tablet app, which comes out November 5, 2013:

You’ll be able to take Castle Crashers practically anywhere!

The video above shows a demo of the controller running on Castle Crashers using GestureWorks Gameplay. One of the best parts of this controller is that you’ll be able to design virtual buttons and make custom gestures as well. Sounds pretty good to us!

If it’s starting to sound good to you too, you don’t have to wait until November 5th to try GestureWorks Gameplay. You can sign up for their beta now and the beta is scheduled to start October 5, 2013. As an added incentive to getting a first look at this new application by Ideum, the next 1000 beta testers will get a free copy of GestureWorks Gameplay when it releases in November!

Another benefit of joining the beta is that all beta testers have a chance to be randomly selected for a free copy of Castle Crashers Steam Edition! Ideum and GestureWorks will be choosing 50 people, at random, to get a free Steam key to unlock our medieval action adventure!

Anyone can sign up at: http://gameplay.gestureworks.com

Those who have signed up will receive emails inviting them into the Beta program starting on October 3rd. The giveaway will continue through October until 1,000 additional free copies of Gameplay are claimed.

PAX Prime Recap

It was one of our best times in Seattle exhibiting at PAX Prime 2013. We had a ton of events go down at our booth this year and many of them were BattleBlock Theater themed since our game released earlier in the year on Xbox LIVE arcade. Here is our recap video:

On the first day of PAX, we had an anniversary cake for our 10th Year as a company (The Behemoth). We also had our first appearance by Will Stamper, our voice actor for BattleBlock Theater, along with Dan Paladin and Tom Fulp. And the day ended with us attending the Omegathon Round 2, which featured BattleBlock Theater as the game to eliminate one pair from the weekend long tournament.

Our second day, Saturday, was focused on our BattleBlock Theater tournament. Over 15 pairs joined in and only 3 pairs fought their way until the finals to become 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place winners.

On the third day of PAX, we had a special rematch with our friends from The Creatures. UberHaxorNova and Immortal HD were challenged to a rematch after we, the developers of the game, lost to them at RTX 2013. We surprised them with having our very own Dan Paladin up on stage with Team Behemoth.

It was a great weekend and we have plenty of pictures to go along with this recap video. Check out our pictures by clicking HERE.

Also, if you missed PAX and missed our 10 year anniversary trailer, you can watch that on YouTube now:

Thanks to those who stopped by to visit us at PAX Prime 2013 and thank you to all the fans who continue to support us. Happy Monday!
