Happy Birthday Alien Hominid (& You’re Invited!)

On November 21st, Alien Hominid HD turns 16 years old! It’s been quite a ride, so it’s only natural we come together to celebrate our first game baby’s sweet 16. Of course we’re throwing a digital party, and of course you’re invited!

Join us for a Discord party, merch sales, and shared fun facts and history of the game. No need to RSVP!

Our Discord birthday party will begin at 11 AM PT over at discord.gg/thebehemoth. Much like our PAX Online booth hours, staff will be hopping into voice chat for about an hour to tell stories about Alien Hominid and reminisce over the last 16 years (and before).

Be sure to also follow our social media channels for all sorts of fun videos sharing tidbits of Alien Hominid history. You might just learn something new!

But that’s not all! Starting on November 21st, all Alien merchandise will also be on sale in our online store.

Be sure to keep an eye out as well, because there might even be some new Alien artifacts available in the shop. This sale ends on November 24th, so get your extraterrestrial goods before the deals return to the mothership!

And of course, if you need more activities you can always make an Alien Hominid head. Yup, you read that right. Though candy storing season is over, this Alien head would still be a fine centerpiece for your table!

Learn how to do this DIY craft with instructions from our very own plushsmith right here.

Happy Birthday Alien Hominid!! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Join the Fight! Castle Crashers is on Sale on Steam

Crashing, fighting, it’s all the same difference. Bash ’em, beat ’em, hit ’em with a stick. You know the drill.

And what a world of opportunity that same difference brings forth for Castle Crashers! Because it is a game, and you can technically fight things in it. Thus, a fighting game!

Castle Crashers is part of the Fighting Game sale on Steam, which means you can get it for 80% off from now through November 16th.

What (or who) are you looking most forward to beating up in your next Castle Crashers playthrough?

Behemoth Halloween – 2020 Contest Winners!

Though the season of happy haunts has come to an end, the Behemoth Halloween contest has lived on in our hearts and brains. No, seriously. Our team has spent this week sorting through all of the entries to pick winners, so it’s definitely been in our brains! And yes, we do mean all of the entries — and there were nearly 120 this year! That [pumpkin] smashed last year’s entry count by a behemoth, and we couldn’t be happier about it. (But of course, that’s also why it took us a little longer to bring this puppy to a close.)

This year we had two separate categories, one for Spooky Behemoth Art, and a Chicken Costume Contest. We broke these down further to pick out three winners from each: (1) The Best (in Our Humble Opinion), (2) The Spooky Scariest, and (3) The One That Makes Us Laugh ’til We Cry. With all of the entries we received, we’re beyond glad that we got to pick six winners! Of course, you’re all winners in our hearts, but you know… that many prizes just doesn’t quite fit the Halloween budget.

Now, tap really hard on your desks or the nearest flat surface to make a drumroll!

….

Are you done yet?

A huge thank you to everyone that entered! We had an incredibly hard time choosing winners because of how many fantastic drawings there were. You made us smile, snort, feel things we didn’t know we could feel, and wish we knew some of you in person with all of your interesting and sometimes weird entries.

If you want to check out all of the entries this year, be sure to search for the hashtag “#BehemothHalloween” on your favorite social media sites!

PS – If you’re one of this year’s #BehemothHalloween contest winners, keep your eyes peeled for a message from the Behemoth Chicken on the social media account you used to enter! We’ll be contacting you (in a non-spooky way, we promise!) very soon.
