Hear ye, Hear ye!   We call volunteers for our BattleBlock Theater Closed Beta Test!  We have 10,000 fresh backstage passes and we’re not afraid to give them out!! Do you want one?  Can you smell it?  Does this delight you?  Are you not entertained?

Will you sit idly by and watch as your friends do battle amongst each other!? –  Cue the  important information :

  • This is a closed beta.
  • Beta testing will take place in February or March, 2013.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to participate. Under 18? Then you’ll need to have your parents help with registration.
  • Registrants must have the following: A working Xbox 360 with a reliable internet connection, Xbox LIVE Gold Account and a Behemoth forums account.
  • Individuals should register after reading all documents under Required Reading and be sure that they can fulfill the Prerequisites.
  • 10,000 registrants will be selected to participate.
  • Registration is ongoing until all beta codes have been distributed.

Are you interested?  Okay!  Here’s what I require from your person:  You will need to read all the documents in the required reading section and be able to fulfill the prerequisites to qualify;

Happy new year! Hope all the holidays have been well and that you all had a chance to spend some time with your loved ones your video games. We certainly did. It’s only been a week since the start of 2013 and we’ve been extremely active in BattleBlock Theater development. Here are some mini updates for you folks:

  •  ESRB still keeping us as “Teen,” but now you can find “Crude humor” on the list too. Not surprising and nothing new, right? A few fart sounds here and there and poo coils once in a while…
  • Something we’re hoping to showcase in a future blog post are our story cinematics. We’ve successfully finished of all the videos for the story mode and we’re ready to delight you with our good natured crude humor.
  • Level designers are double checking and triple checking all 450+ levels in BattleBlock Theater to make sure they are perfectly challenging and playable. They’ve been making adjustments based on the numerous playtests we’ve had the past year and also after our most recent internal group playtest.

At the end of the year 2012, many Behemoth eyeballs got together in one room to take a look at the latest build of BattleBlock Theater with all the additions implemented in the past year and had a discussion for possible modifications to improve the game even further.

Men, women, girls and boys of all ages can now sport the latest and greatest fashion trends from medieval times! Castle Crashers accoutrements are available on Xbox LIVE and your new garments are going to make you the talk of the village. And each item is under 300 MSP! Barbarianhead

While only a few accessories and outfits are shown in this post, a whopping twenty-six items were released yesterday to the world and we’re looking forward to seeing how you mix and match your avatar accessories. Will you suit up with the red knight tunic and confuse your comrades with the barbarian head? Have you always wanted the body of a ninja pirate and the face of an alien? The possibilities of strange and wonderful representations of your personality are endless.

Each piece of head gear is 160 Microsoft points and tunics are 240 Microsoft points each.
