Shippy McShippington’s Holiday Deadlines 2015

Our friend Shippy McShippington is back with another holiday list! Shippy has collected all the important dates for 2015 shipping deadlines and we’ve put it here just for YOUUUU. So check out the dates below and then shop for the perfect Behemoth gifts at our Online Store!

Please note that these dates must correspond with regular Postal hours, so if you purchase Priority Mail Express at 8PM PST on December 23rd then it probably won’t make it to the destination by December 25th (because the Post Office will be closed).

With that said, are you ready for the big list of shipping deadlines?

Breaking Down Backward Compatibility

backwardcompat
Larry Hyrb (aka Major Nelson) and FLitz (from Smosh Games) recently came out with a video explaining the Backward Compatibility features for Xbox One. As you’ll see in the video, all of our Xbox 360 titles will be available for Backward Compatibility:

Alien Hominid HD, Castle Crashers, and BattleBlock Theater will all be accessible on Xbox One through Backward Compatibility. If you owned any of these titles on Xbox 360, then they will automatically show up in the “Ready to Install” section on your Xbox One when you sign in with the same gamertag.

The video explains several questions regarding Back Compat, including saves and cross platform online multiplayer. Here are some highlights:

-When playing on Xbox 360, make sure to cloud save so that your saves will transfer over to Xbox One.

-Your Xbox 360 Achievements get transferred and you can continue to unlock achievements when playing on Xbox One.

-You will be able to play online mutliplayer with Xbox 360 players if you’re playing through the Back Compat version on Xbox One.

-You’ll also be able to use all the advanced features in Xbox One, like “record that” or “save screenshot.”

For those who want to see the full list of Back Compat titles, check out the list HERE. If there’s a game you don’t see on the list, you can vote for or submit a game title HERE.

The Behemoth will be at Day of the Devs!

dayofdevs

We’re excited to be a part of the third annual Day of the Devs! For one day only, we’re joining several other game developers to have a day of games, food, music, and art.

Day of the Devs will be held on November 7 from 3pm to 9pm at The Midway in San Francisco, CA. It’s an all-ages event and admission is free.

Portable

We’re bringing our portable arcade set up for Pit People and we can’t wait for you to play the demo! There will be one solo Pit People station and one multiplayer station for our newest mini-game in Castle Crashers, Back Off Barbarian. You’ll be able to play with up to four people so make sure to bring your friends or make some new ones!

Speaking of making friends, be sure to say hi to John and Anna. They’ll be there representing our studio and they can answer any questions you may have about our games.

If you’re planning on going, RSVP via this Facebook event page. If you can’t make it, then you can watch the live stream at Twitch.tv/DoubleFine on the day of the event!
