Update on 9:30AM, September 20, 2015 – Castle Crashers Remastered has launched in Portugal!
Last week, we announced the Castle Crashers Remastered release date & pricing for North America. Today, we’re excited to announce more countries will be also be launching on September 9, 2015!
In addition to USA, Canada, and Mexico, the EU regions that will be launching tomorrow include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia. (More countries to come in future days!)
This means that all of those countries will also be able to take part in our Thank-You-For-Saving-Our-Lives-That-One-Time special promo! To reiterate: “Castle Crashers Remastered on Xbox One will be $14.99 which is our usual cost of admission for this classic game baby. However…if you’ve previously owned Castle Crashers on Xbox 360, you shall receive our Thank-You-For-Saving-Our-Lives-That-One-Time special price of FREE THROUGH SEPTEMBER 20th with current Xbox Live Gold membership.”
To clarify, if you buy Castle Crashers for the Xbox 360, at any point, you’ll be able to access the loyalty discounts that are in effect for Castle Crashers Remastered.

Same sh## here in Germany. While almost the whole EU gaming community can play the game already, it’s not even showing up in the marketplace here [5:15pm at the moment]! Needs the “USK” rating first, which usually takes a couple(!) of days after the official release date – which makes people so fu##### angry every time… *sigh*

I have the original on Xbox 360 (one of my favourites of the genre) but on the spanish store of Xbox One it shows me to pay 14,99 euros or test the free demo. I downloaded the demo and it still appears the message of pay 14,99 euros. Any solution?

I logged in a few mins ago on Xboxlive to download Castle Crashers Remastered for the XboxOne, but it is asking $14.99, even though i had previously purchased the original Castle Crashers on the Xbox360.
I just wanted to bring this to your attention, before the flood gate of complaints happen…lol

What’s up with Germany? We’re always late with ratings, unfortunately. Any information about the release there?
I’ve left a support ticket already, I was curious if anyone has been having the same issue. The ticket reads:
“I’m the owner of Castle Crashers on Xbox 360, and my roomate is the one with the Xbox Gold subscription. We share it because we are on the same Xbox console. I am unable to download the new version for free, and find it unfair that I would have to re-purchase the game (regardless of price).
I contacted Xbox support about the issue and they told me the following.
“If you can, you can get in touch with them and inquire for the reasons as to why a an Xbox Live Gold membership is needed for this.”
Why are you requiring a gold membership on the account? It will cost me $10 (+tax) to add a gold membership and download the game for free, or it will cost me $10 (+tax) + $5 (+tax) for the game after the 20th.
What can you do for me? I’m very upset to find all of this out.”
Hi,i bought the remastered edition for 14,99 euros while having bought the original several years ago.Is there any chance i will get refunded?

The game is still not showing up in the German marketplace – USK rating still missing, that’s why… *sigh*
Its wrong that we’re going to miss out on the free download because of the country we live in. Its not like Australia is a small country either
It should at least be extended so everyone has at least the chance to get it. I loved the game and would love to play it again, but I definitely won’t be paying for it again

I can’t get CC Remastered for free on my X1. I own CC on 360 and I am currently an XBOX LIVE Gold subscriber. I live in Chile, but I access the American X1 store from my X1 dashboard. I pay for my games in US dollars, not in local currency (in case this is also a requirement).
What do I need to do in order to get Remastered for free before the 21st?

When will the game be released in NZ? Will we still be able to get it for free? If it’s not releasing until after the 20th shouldn’t the cut off date be extended for the countries that get the game later?
