Amongst all the huge amounts of game development going on we tend to keep ourselves EXTRA busy with cool projects. Here are only a couple of the many things we are currently working on:

We’ve been thinking about making some shoes every once in a while, but after seeing this link we were even more supercharged to make some! There’s also these shoes and these shoes… I wonder if there are more I haven’t found? I really like the colors on this last one!

Our shoes are not ready, of course, but we are working on getting one done. The design (and modelling) on this one was done by our friend Min Kyung. Sometimes I call her Filet Mignon because that’s what it rhymes with.

This fine bag that I am displaying should look familiar to those of you who have played Castle Crashers. The contents are still secret right now.. I wish I could tell you but it just isn’t time yet 🙁 So let’s guess. What do you think might be inside? (It’s not gold, even though it looks like it should be)

This concludes our tour for now… There are several other awesome things we’re planning that I will share later!

This post is about presents that we both get!! Beginning present sequence:

The other day we received 3 big boxes in the mail that were sent from Microsoft and we wondered what they could be. They were so heavy! When we opened them there was a note telling us they liked us enough to make a few custom Castle Crashers Xbox 360 Elites! Whoa!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What else do I have to say about presents? Well – Father’s Day is coming up….. maybe you should get your dad a gift for Father’s Day???????????? Or, if YOU are DAD and you are reading this and after your kid gets you something awesome for father’s day you can be like “WELL GUESS WHAT, SON/DAUGHTER/PERSON? I AM THE BEST FATHER FOR SURE NOW!!!!” and then hand them a code for XBLA that you got them on AMAZON.COM and then BOND with him/her/it. There’s nothing quite like 1-upping your children, but it is their own fault for not thinking of this gift first!!!

Speaking of presents, we’re running a contest* to see who can guess the time and date for when Castle Crashers hits 1,000,000 players on the leaderboards and we’re giving away lots of presents. The person who gets the closest will get the Grand Prize… but that is not enough present-giving for us! We want to give out more presents to more people. It was really hard to figure out what the most epic presents would be. We all felt like something different might be best so we took all the ideas and ran with them. We didn’t literally run with them. Instead, we took all the ideas and put them in a big bucket. All kinds of shwag and amazing items are inside of this bucket, and there’s a really huge bow sitting on top of it in the middle of the office. We’re going to pull the bow and take the presents out and send them to random entrants in the contest once a week until it is over! Can you believe it?

So – What could I possibly tell you about a GRAND PRIZE so far? It will include a hand made CASTLE that we only use for our displays at the tradeshows, a solid bronze knight figurine, personalized Sultan-Dan-Paladin-Art, and lots, lots more!

Over the weekend our Castle Crashers leaderboards have passed 900,000 users. That’s approximately 3,532,940 princesses saved and about 112,478,313,017 swings of a sword. Those numbers are probably way off and don’t make any sense but I think you get the point.

It’s still amazing for all of us to think that we’re on track for over a million Castle Crashers users and the game has only been out for about 8 months now! But when will this momentous occasion occur? When??

I challenge YOU to guess the exact DATE and TIME that the main Castle Crashers leaderboard reads 1,000,000 players!

I’m not sure yet what the prize will be for this.. but rest assured. it will be awesome, nay…SPECTACULAR! if there are lots of close entries, we will award lots of cool prizes.

the rules:

  • one entry per person
  • one person per date/time
  • round your guess to the nearest 5 minutes, and specify AM or PM, use pacific time. that is 3:45am, 2:10pm, 4:00am, etc. and not 8:32 and 43 seconds. if you submit a funky time like that, we will round UP to the nearest 5 minute mark.
  • When we reach 950,000 on the leaderboards, no more entries will be accepted!!

IMPORTANT:  Post your guess  over in our forums, so i can keep track of them all in one place! Guesses posted here will not be counted 🙁
