Behemoth Roadmap Stream Recap

Today was a huge day for us chickens at The Behemoth. We presented our Behemoth Roadmap stream, which announced all the exciting stuff we’ve been up to lately! Oh, and did we mention ALL of our games are still discounted on Steam? Happy Behemoth Roadmap week! BAAAAAWK!


Here’s a quick rundown of all the announcements from the stream!

DLC Announcement: Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise

The Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise is soon coming to Steam as paid DLC! The update will include:

  • Steam workshop capabilities – make your own knight skins, choose your magic, and share with the world!
  • New official character: play as Paint Junior to use your imagination and create art that destroys enemies!
  • New player and weapon artwork for all official playable characters (with an option toggle on or off).
  • Play as ANYTHING you want in Castle Crashers! But keep in mind Steam guidelines, please. 🙂

Calling all Cat Guards back to BattleBlock Theater…

Cat got your tongue? BattleBlock Theater for Steam will soon get a quality of life update, including:

  • Enhanced rendering – no more crunchy compression and much higher resolution!
  • Lightning fast frame rates, limited only by your monitor’s capability!
  • Higher audio bitrates for delicious sound!
  • Various bug fixes and overall enhancements, hooray!
  • Support for more controller types!

We’re also preparing the game for other platforms! Which ones? When? TBA, BUT YES, IT’S COMING! OH HAPPY DAY!

Pit People Update 8?!

Pitheads, we haven’t forgotten about you, either! A quality of life update for Pit People is also on the horizon, it’s just a bit farther down on our little (big) chicken roadmap. Stay tuned, our ferocious fighters!

And beyond… a brand new game!

While we show some attention to our previous titles, we’ll also be embarking on the journey of starting a brand new game for all of you chickens to enjoy. Prototyping for our next game has commenced! That’s pretty much all we have to say about it, for now…

Alien Hominid HD Console Update 1.1 Patch Notes

After landing on Steam, Alien Hominid HD’s hotfix 1.1 has arrived for Xbox and Switch players!

Calling all aliens (and earthlings) of chaos and destruction! The Big Chicken is here with great news – an update for Alien Hominid HD has arrived for consoles, full of audio and visual bug fixes, music restoration, and TURBO FIRE! Yes, you read that correctly. TURBO. FIRE!!!!!!

Sending a Big Chicken BAAAAAAAWK to the community members on Discord and social media who reported various bugs and pointed out the previously missing original music tracks. We appreciate you behemothly!

Read about all the changes below, enjoy some old tunes from your youth, and as always, let us know what you think!

  • New – Added new Turbo Fire option for aliens with tired thumbs!
  • New – Added option to change player hats during gameplay (destroy things fashionably 💅)

To utilize both of these new features, open up the settings menu, navigate to player options, turn on Turbo Fire, and choose your hat of choice!

  • Art – Restored the original art for 1-4 boss’s body
  • Audio – Restored original music for the All You Can Eat minigame
  • Audio – Restored the background music in 2-6 to the original “BassGun” music track
  • Cutscene – Restored the original ending cutscene, credits and music

  • Art/Animation – Fixed a visual bug with the bear in 2-2
  • Art/Animation – Tweaked agent running animation in the attract screen to make it smoother
  • Art/Animation – Fixed visual bugs with with the helicopter and first boss in 1-5
  • Art/Animation – Fixed visual bugs with the Pudding Boss
  • Art/Animation – Fixed a visual flicker with jet enemies in 1-5
  • Art/Animation – Fixed a visual bug with the 2-3 flamethrower smoke animation
  • Audio – Properly looped the agent truck SFX in 1-1 intro cinematic
  • Audio – Fixed a bug with SFX continuing to play after defeating the 2-2 bear boss
  • Level – Fixed a softlock that would occur after Bustletron in 1-1
  • Level – Fixed an incorrect camera position at the start of 1-1
  • Level – Fixed a bug causing the 3-3 boss head to disappear and softlock
  • Level – Fixed visual issues with the Tank’s turret cannonball fire in the 1-4 intro cutscene
  • Level – Fixed bug with the Pudding Boss not going into the “dazed” state when shooting after spraying them with the fire hydrant
  • Localization – various translation bug fixes and additions
