Oh, and did we mention it’s happening this summer? That’s right, the Painter Boss Paradise DLC now has an official launch window of Summer 2025! The DLC’s price has been set to $3.99, but more information about regional pricing will be available soon.
The best way to support us as we continue developing the Painter Boss Paradise DLC (and Alien Hominid PlayStation ports and BattleBlock Theater’s update and Pit People’s Update 8 and [REDACTED]) is to wishlist the DLC and tell a friend! What started as Ye Olde Sidescroller in 2008 has brought us to this moment, right here, in 2025, updating Castle Crashers with custom character capabilities just so you can become the Moyai of your dreams and fight an army of Green Knights having an allergic reaction from space. The possibilities are endless, really.

Painter Boss Paradise DLC features:
- Steam Workshop tool – create your own knight skins, upload to the Workshop, and share with the world!
- New official character – play as Paint Junior and create powerful art to vanquish your foes!
- Updated art for all official playable characters, weapons, and world map (with an option to toggle on or off in case you prefer the classic style!).
- An entire roster of wacky DLC characters created by The Behemoth’s art team for fans to directly download from the Workshop upon release.
If you find yourself Painter Boss Paradise-less but have a friend who owns the DLC, you’re in luck! That person is now your BEST friend because they can share the DLC with you while you both play together!
