PAX West 2025 – Daily Blog

We’re so back! The Behemoth chickens have flown the coop and arrived in the land of cream cheese hotdogs: Seattle! Over the next four days, we’ll be unleashing the sheer unbridled power of the Behemoth Arcade onto all attendees of PAX West at the Seattle Convention Center in Booth #1501!

For those of you following along at home, check back at the end of every day of the show for a daily recap and smattering of photos. And for a little refresher on what exactly we’ll have at our booth and what events will take place, check out our prior blog posts above!

See you in Seattle!

Friday of PAX West 2025 is now in the books! We had an exciting first day meeting you all in our Behemoth Arcade, competing in BEHEMOTH and Back Off Barbarian together, and slinging Behemoth goodies from behind our merch counter!

We make shiny trophies!
Enjoy your Necromancer Donut Box of Delights

Dan signed a ton of your stuff today, including many physical copies of Castle Crashers and figurines! He only has one more day of signing to go, so be sure to stop by Booth #1501 tomorrow from 2:00 – 3:00 PM if you couldn’t make it today.

Signed by Danny P!

The Painter Boss also made their first appearance for the weekend, snapping pics with congoers and meeting new cosplaying friends! Here’s a quick look at the artist’s adventures around Booth #1501:

Is that Dan wearing the Necromancer helmet????

Looking for some Castle Crashers knights to spruce up your Pinny Arcade collection? We’ve teamed up with Child’s Play and AbleGamers to bring two specialty pins for charity to this year’s show! Find Green Knight with Child’s Play at Skybridge #4, and Orange Knight with AbleGamers in the Voodoo Ranger lounge! Pins are $20 each and can also be purchased at our booth (with funds raised going to the respective charities).

Feast your eyes upon these shiny new knight pins for charity!

That’s all from this big chicken for now! The first day has come and gone, but we still have a weekend jam-packed with Behemoth merriment to go! See you tomorrow for day two!

“LOL”

Saturday show-goers really knew how to keep the energy going! We experienced another great day of Castle Crashers competition, having Dan sign alllllll your things, and taking photos with our Painter Boss!

Red, Green, Orange, or Blue?

Us and the Painter Boss were visited by MANY lovely attendees today! We love how PAX (and conventions in general) serve as a multiverse where iconic cosplay characters can come together for a short moment in time. Seeing all the creative cosplays our community and beyond comes up with always amazes us…but we were seriously blown away by how many Castle Crashers cosplayers graced us with their presence, you all KILLED it!

The Behemoth merch has been flying off the shelves, too!

Interested in what it’s really like to visit The Behemoth at PAX? Want to know more about us in general? Here’s a quick booth tour straight from our arcade:

Full of whimsy, button mashing, and awesome people, The Behemoth Booth never fails to BRING IT to shows! Not only do we make awesome experiences, we MAKE MORE! Here’s a little taste of what we can bring to your life 🐔 #CastleCrashers #IRL #Arcade #IndieDeveloper

And that’s a wrap on day two! See y’all tomorrow for another day of big chicken excitement right from PAX West’s Booth #1501!

Shall we find some sparkly gems?

So many knights have come by this weekend. We’re overjoyed!

SEATTLE!!!! You SHOWED UP for day three, and we can’t thank you enough for the energy you brought to Booth #1501 all day long!

The competition was FIERCE in our BattleBlock Theater 2v2 Ball Game Tournament (as always!!). Thanks for taking the time to participate and show off your skills. Check out the team that won the shiny Hattington trophies:

Are your pants buckled yet?

Another day calls for more Castle Crashers knights, and boy did you step up to the plate!

Blue Knight and Green Knight stopped by today.

Speaking of Castle Crashers… Yesterday’s Painter Boss Paradise celebration was one we won’t forget! Here’s a glimpse of all the gaming, drawing, competing, and posing that took place during day two:

We’re having a grand time at this year’s PAX West in Seattle playing Castle Crashers, hanging out with the Painter Boss, competing on arcade cabs, and running around the arcade! Dan loved drawing all your favorite knights, too! Here’s to an amazing rest of the weekend!! 🐔♥️🏰

But wait, we have one quick update for everyone at the show: we will be hosting an additional BEHEMOTH competition tomorrow starting at 12:00 PM. No sign-ups needed! Just line up near the BEHEMOTH arcade cabinets around noon, then wait for your turn to save as many baby chicks as possible in Challenge Mode! The winner earns a chicken trophy and goodie bag. You got this!

Save them!!!

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow is the fourth and final day of the show, but have no fear, as we have yet another exciting lineup of activities for Monday!

Did you by chance check this blog post yesterday for an update? Sorry, we were busy stuffing our face with some last minute Seattle dogs after our booth teardown. Actually, it was Labor Day!

On Monday, Mike “The Bearded Chicken” Welsh once again stepped up to the plate, going head-to-head against speedrun competitors in Alien Hominid HD. Did anyone beat the dev chicken this time around???

No one’s beating this chicken.

Okay, so maybe no one triumphed over Mike wearing a chicken suit, BUUUUT we were able to reward a shiny chicken in our final BEHEMOTH challenge!

We had such an exciting weekend playing together in our Behemoth Arcade, hosting fierce competitions for attendees, and meeting all your smiling faces! From the bottom of this big chicken’s heart – thank you! You are the reason we make games. Your support means the world, and we are so thankful to be able to spend these moments in person together.

It’s now time to flap back down to San Diego and get prepared for our next (local!) event: TwitchCon! Big Chicken dev team, out! See you sooooon!
