New Year, Same Chicken
That’s a wrap on 2025 for this big chicken! Thanks so much for flapping alongside us as we worked through more of our Behemoth Roadmap projects and made new memories together online AND in-person. It’s now time to reminisce on the last 12 months and prepare to make next year as bright as this one!

Our roadmap has no specific dates attached to our “roads” by design, since we’re a small dev team working through these updates simultaneously AND prototyping for our next game baby. That’s right, Game 7 is COOKING in this chicken’s kitchen; I guess you could say we’re still gathering all the right ingredients and deciding on the perfect dish. Rest assured it’ll be delicious with a cherry on top!
BEHEMOTH received its community-requested One Hit Challenge Mode back in January! We had a blast playing against others live on air, unlocking over 200 different chicken cosmetics and competing in the daily leaderboards! Alien Hominid Invasion and Alien Hominid HD co-launched onto PlayStation® back in June! Optimized for PS4 and PS5, both the original Alien Hominid game AND its reimagination, Alien Hominid Invasion, are now available for Sony fans!
We launched our first DLC for Castle Crashers in 13 years, Painter Boss Paradise, on August 6th! Since then, the Steam Workshop has been flooded with over 40,000 community creations… WOW! You’ve truly outdone yourselves creatively, and we’ve loved getting to showcase your custom knight skins during our developer streams. We will officially NEVER run out of characters to play in this game!
Can you believe we’ve been crashing castles together for 17 years now? We’re extremely thankful to every person who has picked up a controller (OR KEYBOARD!) over the years and dedicated some time to our beloved beat ‘em up.
As 2025’s journey comes to a close and we squint towards the horizon, we can see BattleBlock Theater’s Quality of Life Update and Pit People’s Update 8 in the distance! We truly appreciate your patience as we continue to work on the big chicken Behemoth magic!
