The Behemoth chicken crew is READY to see YOU this weekend in our arcade at PAX West in Seattle! From August 29 – September 1, you can find us at Booth #1501 in the Arch Expo Hall from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM daily! Who else has been counting down the days?
Before we get into our daily schedule, we’d like to announce the return of Spy Party, our prior PAX booth neighbors of many years! We can’t wait to see what they have planned next door in Booth #1500!

Daily Newsletter Giveaway
If you sign up for our email newsletter on any day of the show, you’ll be entered for a chance to win a Castle Crashers Knight Plush set, plus a Golden Whale! One winner will be chosen each day of the show, meaning four lucky attendees will win the grand prize! Winners will be picked at random and contacted near the end of each show day. Winners can redeem their prize at our merch counter, or we can ship it to you after PAX!

We’re starting Friday off HOT with two challenges for attendees, a signing with Dan THE MAN Paladin, and a Painter Boss cosplay photo op! Let’s get this PAX started right, Behemoth-style!
The Behemoth’s BEHEMOTH Challenge
- Line up at the BEHEMOTH arcade cabinet ahead of 12:00 PM (no sign-ups).
- Competitors will step up to compete one at a time and have one chance to save as many baby chicks as possible.
- Outlast all your competition and win the grand prize: a BEHEMOTH chicken trophy and prize pack with a chicken plush, feather socks, and coffee mug!
Next up: survive longer than your fellow competitors in Back Off Barbarian for a chance to win a shiny Barbarian trophy and MORE!
Back Off Barbarian High Score Challenge
- Line up at the Back Off Barbarian arcade cabinet before 3:00 PM (no sign-ups).
- Competitors will step up one at a time and have one chance to last as long as possible.
- Outlast all your competition and win the grand prize: a Back Off Barbarian trophy, in addition to a Barbarian-themed prize pack that includes a figurine, socks, and sticker!
In honor of the big chicken’s gaming spirit, participation prizes will be given to all BEHEMOTH and Back Off Barbarian competitors! BAAAAWK!
Saturday: Celebrating Painter Boss Paradise with Dan Paladin!

We’re celebrating the Painter Boss Paradise DLC with a Saturday full of Castle Crashers excitement! Sign up for a spot to compete in the Castle Crashers Arena Tournament, get your merch signed by Dan Paladin, and snap a photo with the Painter Boss after the fun!
It’s the second and final day that Dan will be singing at the show, so be sure to visit the booth at 2:00 PM with any merch you want signed!
Castle Crashers Painter Boss Paradise Arena Tournament
- Swing by Booth #1501 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM to sign up with Behemoth staff. Look for someone holding a Golden Whale on a stick!
- Check in near the Castle Crashers arcade cabinets at 2:45 PM ready to compete.
- The TOURNAMENT CHAMPION wins a trophy and Castle Crashers prize pack, including a Necromancer tiki mug and NEW Painter Boss Paradise socks.
- The runner-up wins a smaller prize pack with a Green Knight Plush!
- All participants get a small prize!
Which character will be chosen by the winner of this show’s tournament?! I’m placing bets for Pink Knight, maybe Charles. Last year’s winner played as Open-Faced Gray Knight!
Sunday: Compete in BattleBlock Theater and Snap a Photo with Painter Boss!

- Check in for the tournament with Behemoth staff near the BattleBlock Theater arcade cabinets at 2:50 PM.
- Each member of the winning duo earns a shiny Hatty Hattington trophy, Cat Guard piggy bank, Raccoon plush hat, and BattleBlock Theater sticker sheet!
- The second-place team wins a small BattleBlock Theater prize pack, and ALL participants will receive a small prize.
We’re always impressed with the different techniques our Ball Game competitors show off during these tournaments! What weapon strategy will come out on top this year??

On our final day together at PAX, we’re bringing back a fan-favorite competition: Beat a Dev Chicken at Alien Hominid HD, where Mike “The Bearded Chicken” Welsh will once again get chicken-suited-up and go head-to-head against competitors in the game’s first level!
Painter Boss will be making a bit of an earlier appearance today! Come by at 2:00 PM if you want to snap a photo with the iconic artist. Tag us on social media (links here) if you dare.
