Hello. I wanted to show everyone our Beefy Mode in Castle Crashers, and instead of showing you a screenshot of it in action I figured a very short gameplay video was long overdue.  Before we get to that here’s a little diagram that Dan put together to help further explain it. (sort of)

Beefy Mode is activated by eating some awesome PB&J sandwiches.

  10. Yeah, peanut butter wasn’t invented until the 1800’s. Jams weren’t invented until the 1600s. And white bread has only been around since the 20th century.

    Should I expect to see more flagrant disregard of historical accuracy in Castle Crashers?

  14. On the other hand King Arthur was well know to wield a light saber and shoot balls of poison from his backside, that famously launched him 10 feet into the air.

    Can you do magic while beefy? Or is it all about smacking the seven shades of teutonic carp out of stuff with your fists?

  16. i can’t speak for Microsoft, but I seriously doubt a gameplay feature for our game would be an e3 announcement for a company like microsoft 🙂

    but before you ask, still no release date information. we’ll let you know as soon as we get more info. thanks!!

  17. Beefy mode only has melee attacks, but trust me it’s all you’ll need.

    I think if they were going to show off the potential for an xbla game the best example to shove it to sony would definitely be castle crashers. Pleaseeee don’t port to the psn pleaseeee, microsoft I’m sure will love you guys soo much more

  20. Looks like fun, though it does seem suspiciously like the fat mode in Metal Slug. But hey, great artists steal, right? Or maybe just think alike.

    NEVERMIND! I Remember! As an “edit” to this post, make someone at the office wear a banana costume, and make him dance and sing the “PBJ Time” song, record, and post it!
